Begining of the End

And just like that a month off is over and I go back to work for 8:30 tonight :(

It was a fun productive month! bought a bunch of camping supplies, traveled to Golden Ears, Carmanah Valley and hiked around a few other areas on Vancouver Island.

Also moved this month into a new house in Shawnigan Lake area with a couple acres, so close to the lake and Koksilah River!!! and awesome roomie Fee (still looking for another!). Things are grand and a total stress reliever. It'll be about a 45min commute to work but that is nothing compared to what I've done in the past and besides I LOVE driving. and I'm also halfway closer to anything I do up Island.

Well it's been a month, I've done lots but not much to say.

Day 1:
So I just completed my "first" day, using the below guide I used column three and proceeded through the levels. It wasn't bad untill I hit level 3 then I started to feel my arms going tired :), level 4 that much more tired in the arms. By the time i got to level five and went as far as I could go (15 push-ups) the life was drained out of my arms and it still kind of feels weird to lift them. And this would be a prime example of why I should have never stopped rock-climbing ^_^
Next will be Day 2 of the first week, I'll probably wait a day then do it again on Thursday.

initial test: the road to one hundred push ups

Just to recap from the previous post, a Friend challenged me to go along with The Hundred Push-ups Program over the course of the next six weeks. I just took the "Initial Test" and was able to pull off 30 push-ups which for my current age of 23, that puts me at level 4!
The next step is to start the first week, i'll probably do that shortly today, so stay tuned! I'll be working from the 3rd column (more then 10 push-ups). Each day consists of five levels with a short break(60seconds) in between; Level one with be 10 push-ups, Level two will be another 10 push-ups, Level three will consists of 8 push-ups, Level four of 6 push-ups, and finally Level five will be the maximum I can dish out (at least 7 are required by the program)

As a small challenge from a friend, I am going to attempt to follow this push-up program; the hardest part for me won't be the push-ups or lack there of, it will be the repetitiveness and short attention span that would deter me. I was planning on doing my "Initial Test" this evening but I had a work BBQ and a few drinks later I didn't really feel like doing any push-ups :) that and other people are sleeping in the house and my room isn't really organized to do exercises.

So untill I wake up in the morning no push-ups for YOU! err well me.
